CAPITAL INJECTION GIVES HABBIE POWER TO INCREASE SALES

Habbie – one of the startups that recently graduated from DigitalWell Ventures' accelerator – has completed a successful investment round. The capital increase gives the company a great opportunity to scale its business.

The investment round has contributed a total of SEK 2.8 million. The capital increase allows Habbie to strengthen their team and increase focus on sales and marketing.

– We are bringing in a sales and marketing specialist. This is extremely positive and allows us to process the existing market, municipalities, and regions, but also explore new business areas with great potential, says Martin Larsson, CEO and co-founder of Habbie.

Three new investors

The new investors are Per Wennture AB, specialized in digital scale-ups, and the regional angel investor Magnus Jansson. DigitalWell Ventures is also a shareholder – making the former accelerator company’s continued journey even more exciting.

– We are proud to be investors in Habbie. Their focus on digital rehabilitation and motivational training for everyone is a ground-breaking solution that truly meets the needs of the future in the health field, says Stefan Skoglund, CEO at DigitalWell Ventures.

Habbie is a digital service for rehabilitation, habilitation and preventive training. The service is the result of a collaborative project between Karlstad municipality and an innovation agency. The project’s aim was to create a digital rehab service to promote individual empowerment and health, while equalizing differences in accessibility. At the end of the project, clinical tests showed very good results, as users increased adherence to the training program.

Gaining new customers

In February 2022, Habbie was separated from the innovation agency to become its own company. Karlstad became the first paying customer and have made the service available as part of the municipality’s rehab services.

– Now we have several new municipalities and regions testing the service. Karlstad has also doubled its number of licenses, which is a strong indicator that our service is useful, says Martin Larsson.

As part of the DigitalWell Accelerator, Habbie was certified in The Investment Readiness Process by Beels (IRP). The Habbie team is seen here together with IRP coach Stefan Skoglund from DigitalWell Ventures (on the left) and Björn Larsson (on the right) from Beels.
