Moverot - A workout app that motivates and rewards

With a focus on motivation and public health, the founders of Moverot, Robert Asklund and Nicklas Andersson, aim to help those who do not utilize their wellness benefits and thereby promote a more active and healthier lifestyle.

- We saw a gap in the market and wanted to solve a societal problem. Our app focuses on motivation, not just exercise, say the founders Robert and Nicklas.

Nearly half of wellness benefits in Sweden are not used each year, and among those who do utilize these benefits, there is a significant number who do not exercise. At the same time, a sedentary lifestyle has become an increasing public health issue.

-  Our goal is to reach those who do not utilize their wellness benefits and create long-term health gains, explains Robert. This aligns with the Swedish government’s aim to promote public health and reduce sedentary behavior, particularly through initiatives related to physical activity.

The idea was born during the pandemic when home workouts became increasingly common. Many workout apps today offer training programs and tips, but few target motivating those who do not exercise at all.

Significant benefits for employers promoting health in the workplace
Right now, Moverot is focusing on attracting users and signing agreements with employers who offer wellness benefits to their employees. When more staff members start to be active, employers can see significant advantages, such as reduced absenteeism, increased productivity, and improved mental health. Moreover, a strong commitment to health can make the workplace more attractive to both current and potential employees. - We want more people to understand the value of wellness benefits and actually use them, says Robert. DigitalWell Incubator is an important support on our journey; they have helped us become more professional as a startup and provided us with valuable advice to move forward.

The Moverot app is free to download and offers the opportunity to collect 200 SEK without any initial costs. It’s an easy way to encourage more people to become active in their daily lives and to utilize their wellness benefits.
